THE OWNERS OF THE ALLEY, MARK AND ADRIAN MENTORED US FROM DAY ONE. THEY BUILT MORE THAN A STORE. THEY BUILT A WORLD WHERE DREAMERS ARTISTS, PUNKS, AND HUMANS WHO SAW BEYOND THE SURFACE COULD FEEL ACCEPTED EXACTLY AS THEY WERE.
AND LIKE A LOT OF US ORBITING THE ALLEY IN THE 90'S, WE DRANK BAD COFFEE FROM PUNKIN DONUTS NEXT DOOR BECAUSE THAT WAS JUST PART OF THE RITUAL.
THIS COLLABORATION FEELS SURREAL AND DEEPLY PERSONAL TO US. COUNTER CULTURE, INDEPENDENT CULTURE, CHICAGO, AND THE 219 CONNECTED THROUGH DECADES AND THREADS OF CREATIVITY, ART, RESILIENCE, ACCEPTANCE, INDEPENDENCE, COMMUNITY, AND STAYING TRUE TO YOURSELF.
